The Same Same Mardi Bar is back. And heading proceedings is porn star Brent Corrigan.

“I am very much excited to be speaking with the people of Sydney and Australia. I have never been to your fine country, let alone below the equator.  I hope to learn something hands-on about your culture. I am extremely fascinated with how our community varies in relation to yours.  Hopefully, in the process I can strike down some stereotypes and preconceived notions about actors or adult performers!”

So says porn star Brent Corrigan, who is coming to Sydney in February for Mardi Gras. His first stop: the Same Same Mardi Bar.

Now in its second year, the Mardi Bar will open at Oxford Street’s hottest gay venue, Nevermind, for two weeks (February 24-March 6). An initiative between SameSame.com.au and the Cool Kids Club, it's set to become one of the hottest destinations during the Mardi Gras season. Especially with Brent in the mix.

At just 23, Brent has achieved more fame and notoriety than most people ever would in the adult entertainment industry. From underage controversies to being a star witness at a highly-publicised trial, Brent has just about done it all. Now, the young star is running his own adult company and is forging a promising career in the mainstream films. His most recent work includes roles in Another Gay Sequel and Gus Van Sant’s Milk.

Brent will appear at Mardi Bar on Wednesday, February 24, and Thursday, February 25. “From what I hear, it was a lot of fun last year, and I’m really excited about being a part of it this year,” Brent says.

So are we.

The Same Same Mardi Bar is at Nevermind (163 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst) and will run from February 24-March 6. Brent Corrigan will be appearing at Mardi Bar on Wednesday, February 24 and Thursday, February 25.
